I saw Indiana Jones IV this evening. This movie has caused me to abandon a single dimensional rating scale. More on this later. First the review (some spoilers included). Unfortunately it appears I'm going to have to get Batman Begins and watch it again to answer this question. There was no part of the movie which I didn't like. OK, the plot was entirely predictable but this is not a movie you see for plot twists. It had a lot of humour, things went boom and the special effects were well done. I've just seen The Golden Compass which has exceeded my expectations. I expected all the religious elements of the books to be missing, which would have gutted the story. This was not the case although the movie treatment is (as with a number of the other elements) significantly lighter than in the books.
